Chadron Nebraska is a vibrant and beautiful small city nestled in the edge of the Pine Ridge.  Bordered by the Nebraska National Forest and privy to a geologically diverse landscape, Chadron is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise.

The forested hills of the Nebraska National Forest are home to a diverse abundance of wildlife including many prized game species such as Deer, Elk and Turkey.  The area’s wild life is a long treasured asset to the community as Chadron was originally founded as a French fur trading post.  Hunters or shooting enthusiasts will find a welcome home in Chadron.

Nearby Chadron State Park, offers Hiking, Biking, Horse Back Riding and Paddle Boating as well as camping and other recreational activities.

Practically on the edge of town lie Chadron City Ponds.  Set against the pine forested hills of the area and ringed by deciduous trees, these sparkling pools are brimming with the easiest fish you will ever catch.  They are also a wonderful place to take a small boat or canoe.

The neighboring town of Crawford Nebraska and Fort Robinson State Park offer some spectacular scenery with forested Buttes and a well maintained frontier fort to explore.  The fort is also home to a live theater called the Post Playhouse.  It is a favorite place to spend a summer afternoon or evening sipping sarsaparilla and enjoying a charming tale.

If you are a fan of live theater, The Historic Plains Theater in neighboring Rushville Nebraska will be a favorite stop.  There are also several plays produced at Chadron State College each year.  CSC which cradles the Southern edge of Chadron is an accredited 4 year college with graduate courses and distance learning capabilities sure to satisfy all your educational needs

Chadron is just a short drive from The Black Hills of South Dakota which are home to the famed National Monuments of Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument.  The Black Hills routinely draw tourists from across the nation and around the world.  Other attractions include Deadwood (legendary for its gambling and fine dining), Keystone (a family tourist destination), Wind Cave (possibly the worlds largest underground cave network), Fabulous Spearfish home of Spearfish Canyon with its Water Fall and a wonderful fish hatchery, the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and many, many more.

Chadron is also located within easy driving distance of Scottsbluff Nebraska and Rapid City South Dakota each of which offers exceptional shopping and large modern medical centers.

Chadron is a friendly and modern place to live with all the necessities and many of the niceties of life available within a short commute.  Multiple options for Broadband internet and convenient airport access have linked Chadron to the world allowing residents to enjoy the advantages of larger places without all the drawbacks.  Stop by and see what we have to offer.
